CAPA introduction: The Vernon Camera Club (VCC) is a member of the Canadian Association of Photographic Art (CAPA). CAPA is a national association and consists of clubs and individual members interested in the art and science of photography. As a member of CAPA, Vernon Camera Club works on the principle of promoting the art of photography and provides opportunities for members to learn and develop their photographic skills and as an outlet for their artistic expression. VCC always encourages members to submit images for CAPA competitions either as individuals or as part of the club. More information about CAPA can be found at: www.capacanada.ca

CAPA Canadian Camera Conference – June 28-30, 2017
The CAPA Conference will be taking place in Ottawa. All the details are at http://www.ccc2017.ca/
Accommodations will be very tight in Ottawa but arrangements have been made for CAPA at the Algonquin College Residence. Book early to avoid disappointment.
On July 1, 2017, immediately after the conference, Canada celebrates the 150th birthday. Many exciting events are planned for this event, so it will be a great time to be in Ottawa.
